Bobbie Darnell "Papi" Hendricks Jr. Obituary (1953 - 2022)

Bobby Darnell Hendricks Jr was born Dec 12,1953 in Topeka, Kansas to Ethel and Bobby Darnell Hendricks Sr, of the United States Air Force(USAF), both parents preceded him in death. He was the second of 3 sons, Jackie K. King Sr, and Jimmy A. Hendricks who also preceded him in death. Bobby received his GED at age 17 and earned his Associates Degree in computer programming shortly after. He was employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield. Later in life, he was an entrepreneur, owned Laser Jet Recycling and later became an owner of a restaurant called Little Pig's BBQ. Bobby loved to sing and grew up singing in the choir with family at Brown Chapel AME Church, Topeka, Kansas. He also had a singing group in the community. Bobby married Elizabeth Brunk on August 6th, 1981 and was married for 41 years. They had 3 sons together; Leroy, Lamont and Darnell. He had several children and grandchildren and nieces and nephew's that loved and cherished dearly. Also left to cherish his memory are his Nieces: Anita (Ron) Zimmerman, Arizona; Pamela Taylor, Ohio; Lena Young, Kansas; Clara Smith and Nephew Jackie K. King Jr both proceeded him in death. He had several children and grandchildren and nieces and nephew's that loved and cherished dearly.
