Toisan Denise Smith Obituary (1972 - 2022)

Toisan Denise Smith was born on February 29, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri. Toisan graduated from Paseo High School at the top of her class, #6 in 1990. After graduating from high school she entered the workforce and did numerous jobs. She ended her career at Midland Loan Services/PNC, where she worked as a Tax Analyst until her health declined. Toisan was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999. Her battle with MS in recent years showed her courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Toisan accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of God in Christ. She was a loving and caring mom who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Despite the pain and agony of the disease, she stayed strong until the end. Toisan departed this life Thursday, November 10, 2022 at home surrounded by her love ones. Preceding Tosian Smith in death are her grandparents; Roy & Alice Addison, her aunt; Brenda Addison, and uncle Roy Addison Jr. Toisan leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter; Chassidy Kearney; her parents; Karon Cofield (Sam), Arthur Smith (Angela), her grandmother; Barbara Smith, her sister; Chanise Robertson (Cortez), step/half siblings; Tondalaya Smith, Vincent Blincoe, Judaun Roulette, Sam Cofield Jr. (Amy), Swayne Cofield (Jeannine), Charlotte Martin, Ineshia Teate, a nephew (Cortez Jr.), other nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
